Important to know

Before using a kayak you must make a reservation for it. The reservation list can be found on the Velferden’s board in the service building, and is updated every monday. First come first serve!

Any use of a kayak is at the user’s own risk. Basic maneuvers like getting back onto the kayak or rescuing a kayak buddy must be mastered before going on any trip.
DO NOT GO OUT ON THE FJORD WITHOUT TRAINING.

Polar bear safety practices must be followed when going on any kayak trip.

Information like weather forecast, tide times… should be considered before going out

Empty the kayak and return it (paddle included) to the kayak house. Please close the kayak house when you are done.

Rinse the wetsuit and the rest of the accessories and use the drying rack in the habour storage to let the equipment dry. Sort out the equipment after drying out. Please keep the room tidy and clean.

Remember to pay for the kayak rental after use. You can do this with Vipps or in the reception of the service building. Price list and Vipps info is further down on this page.
